Prof Mah, commonly known as Dr Ted, is a senior surgeon in hand, upper limb & microsurgery in Adelaide, Australia. He completed his Orthopaedic training in Australia and subspecialty training in Hand & Microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute in USA. Prof Mah is the Past President of APOA, Founding President of APOA H&UL Society and Founding Head of Department of Orthopaedics & Trauma, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network in South Australia. Prof Mah had extensive involvement and made significant contribution to local, national and international Orthopaedics in areas of innovation, clinical service, research, publication and administration. He is and have been a board member and/or advisor for many government and non-government organisations including the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Australian Federal Government, Australian Medical Assoc, Australian Orthopaedic Assoc, WorkCover SA, Chair of IMA, Attorneys’ General Dept, South Australian Government, Aus Chinese Medical Assoc and SA Hand Surgery etc. He is the Deputy Editor of Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of Editorial Board for 6 other international Orthopaedic journals. Prof Mah has received extensive acknowledgement for his teaching, research and clinical service across Asia Pacific including Public Service Medal from the late Queen Elizabet II; Honorary Fellowships from APOA and EFORT; Professor of Orthopaedics from Jiaotong University, Shanghai; and Awards from Malaysia IMU, Indian Hand Surgery Society, HK Hand Surgery Society, Singapore Hand Surgery Society and Australian Hand Surgery Society as well as numerous Australian government and non-government organisations. Prof Mah’s latest innovation is the use of AI technology for medical school local and remote teaching, surgical training, supervision and research, as well as use of Robots in Prof Mah is a proud ex-Malaysian born and bred in Ipoh before migrating to Australia for further education and surgical training.
Associate Professor Dr Fareed Kagda

Associate Professor Dr Fareed, is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon renowned for his expertise in complex fractures, polytrauma management, limb lengthening, and reconstructive surgery for bone infections and deformities. As the Group Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at the National University Health System (NUHS) and Head of the Department at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), he has spearheaded numerous innovative initiatives such as the introduction of Reamer Irrigator Aspirator (RIA) and digital surgical planning software. Dr. Kagda's leadership extends beyond clinical practice; he has chaired various national councils and committees, contributed significantly to orthopaedic education, and received accolades including the NUHS Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Team Award and the Public Administrative Medal for his outstanding service, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, his commitment to community welfare is evident through his volunteer work with migrant workers and involvement in mosque committees.

Born in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, I earned my MBBS degree from MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore India in 1998, followed by a Master's in Orthopedics from HUSM in 2009. Specializing in Advanced Musculoskeletal Trauma (AMT) and Limb Reconstructive Surgery, underwent training in various hospitals, including those in Liverpool, UK. With a diverse career across hospitals on the east and west coasts, including a significant tenure at Sarawak General Hospital, I now contribute my expertise at Terengganu, Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah.
