Dr Dungca obtained his Medical Degree at the University of the Philippines and pursued his orthopaedic training at the Philippine General Hospital, where he also pioneered the Fellowship Training Programme on the Methods of Ilizarov and Limb Reconstruction under Prof. Juanito Javier. As President of ASAMI Philippines, he has led the promotion and application of the Ilizarov Method not only in his home country but also internationally.
