Welcome Address by the President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association 2025- 2026

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great honour to welcome you to the 55th Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting (MOA ASM 2026), taking place from 25th to 27th June 2026 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang.

This year’s theme, “AI in Orthopaedics: Precision, Prediction, and Patient-Centered Care,” captures a pivotal moment in our profession — where digital intelligence meets human expertise. The 2026 ASM is designed to bridge that connection, offering participants practical insights and opportunities to apply innovation meaningfully in everyday clinical settings.

Our scientific programme will feature an exciting mix of plenary lectures, instructional courses, interactive sessions, and live demonstrations, led by a distinguished faculty of international and national experts. A special focus will be given to how AI, robotics, and data analytics are reshaping orthopaedic surgery and research.

We also continue our tradition of celebrating excellence through our competitive awards and research presentations, including the Mahmood Merican, P. Balasubramaniam, Subir Sengupta, and Best Basic Science Poster Awards, as well as the lively MOA President’s Cup Quiz — always a highlight of the meeting.
