Welcome Address by the President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association 2025- 2026

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great honour to welcome you to the 55th Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting (MOA ASM 2026), taking place from 25th to 27th June 2026 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang.

This year’s theme, “AI in Orthopaedics: Precision, Prediction, and Patient-Centered Care” captures a pivotal moment in our profession — where digital intelligence meets human expertise. The 2026 ASM is designed to bridge that connection, offering participants practical insights and opportunities to apply innovation meaningfully in everyday clinical settings.

I believe that our Scientific Chairman, Dr. Fairuz Suhaimi, has crafted an exceptional programme designed to engage and benefit orthopaedic surgeons across all levels of expertise. 

Beyond the scientific exchange, we hope delegates will take time to enjoy Penang’s unique hospitality. From the colonial charm of George Town to its stunning coastal views and rich culinary culture, Penang promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend. I am privileged to have Dato’ Azuhairy Azid serving as the local host, supported by the ever-reliable MOA team, in our collective effort to ensure that MOA 2026 is a truly distinguished and unforgettable meeting.
