President, Malaysian Orthopaedic Association 2025–2026
Dear Esteemed Members and Friends,
It is my distinct pleasure, on behalf of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA), to welcome you to the 55th Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting (MOA ASM 2026), to be held from 25th to 27th June 2026 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang.
The theme this year — “AI in Orthopaedics: Precision, Prediction, and Patient-Centered Care” — embodies our shared aspiration to integrate technological innovation with compassionate medicine. Artificial intelligence offers us powerful tools to refine diagnosis, enhance surgical precision, and anticipate patient outcomes — but ultimately, it is our collective wisdom that ensures these advances serve the patient at the centre of care.
The MOA ASM has long been a platform for learning, innovation, and unity. As we gather once more, I encourage all members — surgeons, trainees, researchers, and allied professionals — to engage actively, challenge ideas, and share your expertise. The collaboration and curiosity within our fraternity continue to drive progress in orthopaedics, both nationally and globally.
We are honoured to welcome the Philippine Orthopaedic Association as our Guest Nation this year, reinforcing our enduring partnerships and shared commitment to advancing musculoskeletal health across the region.
And what better place to celebrate this spirit of connection than Penang — a city where heritage meets innovation. From its vibrant cultural landmarks to its world-renowned cuisine, Penang offers the perfect setting for meaningful conversations, renewed friendships, and memorable experiences.
I look forward to meeting all of you in Penang as we explore the exciting frontiers of AI in orthopaedics and continue our journey towards excellence — together.
With warm regards,
Dr Gandhi Nathan Solayar
President
Malaysian Orthopaedic Association 2025–2026
